Pre-K to 3rd grade Visual Arts explore the basic elements and principles of art. Students learn how to use a variety of materials and techniques, while learning about various artists, art movements and vocabulary.
Students in 4th – 8th grade visual arts learn about critical and creative thinking, how to problem solve, and the importance of constructive criticism and peer review. This comprehensive learning experience is designed to guide students through the core foundations of drawing, while experimenting with different mediums. Each student creates and keeps an art portfolio, physical and digital, as an emerging artist.
