The Garrison Piano Studio is a place where practice makes permanent. Students learn how to develop productive independent practicing habits so that they can be successful lifelong learners of the piano. We do one-on-one lessons where students work through repertoire by setting small goals. We do group lessons on theory to strengthen music literacy. We do peer performances to increase skills in performer and audience etiquette. Garrison piano students also participate in the chorus program in order to meet our state curriculum standards – some of which have to do with singing and performing in an ensemble.
